2006 US-IRC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

at Acura Key West 2006

Eligibility:

The inaugural US-IRC National Championship will take place at Acura Key West 2006 (January 16-20). Eligible Key West entrants who wish to participate must submit a 2005 endorsed IRC certificate to Premiere Racing by January 9, 2006 and be racing in a class (IRC, PHRF or one design) with a minimum of five eligible IRC boats.

Fax: +1-781-639-9171             Email: Premiere-Racing

Scoring:

IRC competitors from the different classes will be scored together on a fleet basis through a calculation that determines the ‘average corrected speed’. For each race a corrected speed will be determined by taking the actual course distance and dividing that number by the IRC corrected time. At the conclusion of the series the corrected speed for each race will be added and the total will then be divided by the number of races sailed to determine the average corrected speed for the series. A boat’s worse ‘corrected speed’ will be excluded from the series if seven or more races have been completed. The highest average corrected speed wins.
