ADDENDUM #1
Part 2 Rules and
Conditions
3 OTHER RULES &
REQUIREMENTS
3.5 (amended)
"IRC crew weight and limitations (IRC Rule 27.4.3): For the
big-boat IRC class (1.250 or greater), the maximum total number of
crew shall not exceed the Crew Number printed on the boat's IRC
certificate. IRC Crew Number Limitations may be subject to protest.
Boats shall sail with the same crew in all races, unless crew change
is approved by the Race Chairman. Any request for changes in crew or
crew numbers must be submitted to the Race Office in writing prior
to the race in which the change is to take place.”
For all other boats
racing under either IRC or PHRF, the PHRF crew weight limitations
specified in the 2006 PHRF Rules & Regulations VI. 4 and on page 22
of the Official Notice & Conditions of Race shall apply.
Clarification:
Based on entries to
date, there are sufficient entries for a ‘big boat IRC Class’. For
this class we have changed crew limitations from “crew weight” to
“number of crew” in accordance with IRC Rule 27.4.3.
Based on handicap
entries to date, it is currently unclear whether there will be
sufficient entries for another stand alone IRC class or classes.
However, there will likely be enough boats for an ‘IRC sub class’
within a larger PHRF class in which case Premiere Racing will score
the sub class under IRC and provide sub class trophies. Boat owners
need clarification now on crew limits in order to make their crew
selection and finalize race week planning. Therefore, except for
boats in the big-boat IRC class which will use the crew number
printed on their IRC certificate, Premiere Racing will use the
established PHRF crew weight limits for all other handicap boats,
regardless of whether they race under the PHRF or IRC Rule.
