RACE VIEWING
|
The Liberty Fleet of Tall
Ships is proud topresent the Liberty Clipper as the Official Race
Viewing Tall Ship for Acura Key West 2007.
Sail aboard the Official
Race Viewing Tall Ship, the 125’ Liberty Clipper, on Tuesday Jan 16 and
Thursday Jan 18 to view the races. Departure is at 9:00 AM from
Schooner Wharf, Key West, to see all the classes and races and return by
4:00 PM. Tickets are $75.00 per person plus tax and include continental
breakfast, lunch and complimentary soft drinks. Advance purchase
required. A full cash bar will be available.

tickets for Friday Jan 19 may be available after Dec 26.
The Liberty Clipper is 125
feet long, 101 feet tall and 28 feet wide and is US Coast Guard
certified for 110 passengers. She is docked at Schooner Wharf Bar in
Key West from November through May and in Boston at the New England
Aquarium June through September. In both locations she carries
passengers on day sails, sunset and dinner sails, reenactment sails,
weddings and corporate and family charters. She also does about seven
weeks of offshore adventure vacation trips per year. In addition, the
Liberty Clipper was the winner of the 2005 Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner
Race from Baltimore to Norfolk.

Road Advisory for the Florida Keys
(December 2006)
There are a couple of road construction projects in progress along
the Florida Keys between Florida City and Key West. However, we
have been reassured by the Florida DOT that this will not restrict
the issuing of boat trailer permits for those delivering boats to
Race Week. You can expect some longer transit times at certain
times/days, especially around Mile Marker 115 and MM85 (Snake
Creek Bridge) due to construction, so plan accordingly.
You will still need to secure the usual wide load trip permits
(8'6" wide and over) and escorts (over 10' wide) for trailers.
Trailers under 8’6” wide will not require a trip permit.
